BANJALUKA, FEBRUARY, 16 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik has sent a letter to the President of the European Council Charles Michel and to other participants in an informal dinner in Brussels, in which he informed them that current Chairman of the Presidency Željko Komšić is not authorized to speak on behalf of the BiH Presidency.

"The Presidency of BiH is in charge of foreign policy under the BiH Constitution, and the Presidency consists of three equal members, and the mandate of the Chairman does not have primacy over the other two. Positions that Member of the Presidency Željko Komšić, currently Chairman, will possibly present during tonight's meeting in Brussels are not the positions of BiH, and he has not mandate to speak on behalf of BiH", it is stated in a letter of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.

The letter stated that a derogation from the earlier practice of European structures, which respected the equality of all in BiH during such and similar meetings, could undermine confidence in newly elected EU institutions, and to contribute to further destabilization of BiH, it was announced from the cabinet of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.

The Serb member of the Presidency expressed regrets in the letter, because of the fact that the opportunity to hear a legitimate voice from BiH was missed, and there are many topics that are important for the region and do not suffer delays, about which it is necessary to hear a legitimate opinion from BiH.

A working dinner for representatives of the Western Balkan countries will be held tonight in Brussels with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursulu von der Leyen as part of preparations for the EU-Western Balkans summit in Zagreb this May.

Komšić will also attend the meeting, i.e. the working dinner. /end/bo
