BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - The Chairman and the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik told SRNA that he would ask today the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić to allocate a part of the vaccines against the coronavirus to the Republika Srpska.

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić said that current situation regarding the coronavirus in Republika Srpska is satisfactory, but that we should wait until the end of January to see how the citizens have behaved during the holidays.

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - Out of 730 tested samples the coronavirus was confirmed in 91 persons in Republika Srpska in the last 24 hours and ten people died due to the consequences of the virus, the Institute of Public Health announced.

LOPARE, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - Milorad Simić from Gornje Zabrđe near Ugljevik is the winner of the swimming for the Honorable Cross in the Podmajevica area, which was organized for the first time this year on Lake Sniježnica.

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers for Resource Management Mirko Okolić talked today in Sarajevo with the Military Attaché of the Republic of Austria in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier Erich Simbürger about the preparation of a bilateral cooperation plan between the Ministry of Defense and Austria for this year.

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - Last year, the courts in BiH resolved 140,452 oldest cases, which is 80 percent of the 176,669 cases envisaged in the annual plan, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH announced.

MOSTAR, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - The Court of BiH rejected all three appeals against the decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ on the results of the elections in Mostar and requests for a new counting of votes in that city, said CEC spokesperson Maksida Pirić.

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Oliver Varhelyi said today that the local elections in Mostar were a major achievement, but that it is now up to the competent institutions to complete the process.

MOSTAR, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - Bishop Dimitrije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and Primorje-Gorski Kotar blessed and consecrated the water on the river Neretva in the town of Ortiješ near Mostar, where a swim for the Honorable Cross was held, and the winner was Davor Sudar.

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - The House of Representatives of the Federation of BiH Parliament accepted today the Draft Law on Conversion of Loans with Currency Clause in Swiss Francs into BAM and the conclusion that all remarks, proposals and suggestions must be taken into account when drafting the law.

BELGRADE, JANUARY 19 /SRNA/ - The new commander of the NATO Allied Joint Forces in Naples Robert Burke assessed that "a stable Kosovo" is crucial for stability and security in the region and said that the KFOR`s mandate, which is based on the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, remains unchanged, i.e. the Alliance has no plans to change or reduce its mission in Kosovo.
