ATTACKS ON HANDKE IN SO-CALLED FREE WORLD

BELGRADE, DECEMBER 11 /SRNA/ - Famous Serbian poet Matija Bećković said today that Russian writers used to experience that which Nobel Prize winner for literature Peter Handke experienced in the so-called free world.

Bećković has said that that which was possible only in the East, appeared in the West as well.

“That which /Ivan/ Bunin, /Alexander/ Solzhenitsyn and /Boris/ Pasternak experienced in the USSR, Peter Handke is experiencing today in the so-called free world,” Bećković told “Iskra” while commenting on SDA attacks on Handke and Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica.

Bećković has said that in case of attacks on Kusturica, the same thing is repeating itself: “The entire Bosnia is against Emir, and Nemanja remains silent.” /end/sg
