TREBINJE, APRIL 3 /SRNA/ - Investor Rodoljub Drašković will donate BAM one million to households in Herzegovina that are hit economically by the newly-arisen situation, executive director of the Alliance of Municipalities and a City of East Herzegovina Luka Petrović said today.

Petrović has said that Drašković communicated his decision by phone during today’s meeting of the Alliance, and that all local communities will have to make lists of those households.

“All local communities are tasked with making lists with three levels of vulnerability - great, medium and low level. There will be discussion about whether the aid will be material or monetary one once we get lists, but we estimate that there are around 2,500 vulnerable households in Herzegovina,” said Petrović.

He has said that today’s meeting of the Alliance was attended by representatives of Municipalities of Foča and Višegrad and there was word mostly about citizens’ discipline, health institutions and economic situation.

“The fact that there are no coronavirus infections in the region does not mean that we can relax, to the contrary, we must be even more careful and abide by all measures,” Petrović said.

Petrović has stressed that all local communities in Herzegovina now must behave properly in order to get out from this crisis as soon as possible with the help from the Republika Srpska Government.

“At its last meeting, the Alliance adopted a decision, and it has already been implemented. This is about the distribution of two masks for each citizen of Herzegovina. Today we managed to do it for Nevesinje and Istočni Mostar, and next week we will do it for all other municipalities. We are also giving four pairs of gloves to each citizen,” said Petrović.

Director of the Health Center Snežana Đurović has said that the situation in health centers from Trebinje to Višegrad is good.

“Majority of health centers have disposable spacesuits, masks, gloves, alcohol. In most cases, there are safety goggles as well,” she said.
