BELGRADE, October 8 /SRNA/ - After a trilateral Serbia-Turkey-BiH meeting on Tuesday in Belgrade, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik expressed great gratitude for the fact that this form of cooperation continued, adding that they stressed the need to maintain good political cooperation, stability and peace.

Dodik thanked Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić for organizing the meeting and thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for expressing readiness to continue talks between the three countries in this form.

“This is very important today since after these meetings we will have a formal marking of our cooperation - the beginning of construction of a section of a motorway that should connect Belgrade and Sarajevo, Republika Srpska, Serbia and BiH and enable better communication, will be declared,” Dodik said.

He has said that they discussed other developmental projects such as the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline, in which Republika Srpska is also interested, and discussed readiness for some other investments such as a modernization of railways and possible construction of new railways.

Dodik has said that it is necessary to maintain good political cooperation, stability and peace.

“Erdogan’s statement that every possible ethnic conflict in these parts should be avoided and that peace should be built is acceptable to all of us. We want to work and achieve successes,” Dodik said.

He has said that BiH has grave internal problems and is not in a position to resolve problems quickly, as Serbia and Turkey did.

“We are in a serious delay regarding the implementation of the motorway project, but we believe that the Council of Ministers could be formed in order to unblock this type of cooperation and inter-state agreements,” Dodik said.

He has said that this will mark the cooperation within the trilateral.

Dodik has said participants of the trilateral meeting agreed to hold the next meeting next year in BiH and after that in Turkey.

“This is a good forum and good form /of cooperation/. I welcome it,” Dodik said.

A trilateral Serbia-Turkey-BiH meeting ended on Tuesday in the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade. It was attended by Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the BiH Presidency members Milorad Dodik, Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović. /end/sg
