SUPPORTING MEASURES OF GOVERNMENT AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS TO SUPRESS EPIDEMIC

BANJALUKA, MARCH 19 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Čubrilović told SRNA that on behalf of the National Assembly, he supports the measures passed by the Government and other Republika Srpska authorities and institutions with a view to combating the coronavirus epidemic.

"I want to particularly point out the responsibility and professional approach of all employees of health institutions, Republika Srpska police, civil protection services and local self-government bodies, especially in the cities and municipalities with patients infected with coronavirus," said the speaker of the Srpska Parliament.

Čubrilović stresses that in the state of emergency, it is very important that the citizens of Republika Srpska show a high level of awareness and responsibility, which significantly contributes to controlling, to a large extent, the spread and suppression of the coronavirus.

"Considering that the cases of newly infected persons, who are currently in isolation, are expected in the coming days, I am herewith appealing to the citizens to continue to be disciplined and to make additional efforts to reduce all contacts that are unnecessary," Čubrilović said.

He stressed that it is especially important to protect the elderly and health-sensitive persons whose lives could be endangered by coronavirus infection, and urged that we all refrain from unnecessary physical contacts.

"I am herewith urging all citizens to follow the instructions and advice given by health care institutions and other institutions to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic. I am also appealing to all MPs, especially those in temporary isolation, to follow the recommended measures and, only after the normalization of their health condition and improvement of the overall situation, to continue with their regular parliamentary activities," emphasized Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Nedeljko Čubrilović. /end/vos
