BANJALUKA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska officials laid wreaths in the Memorial Room at the Kozara Barracks in Banjaluka on the occasion of May 12, the Day of the Republika Srpska Army and the 3rd Infantry Regiment /Republika Srpska/ of the BiH Armed Forces. Wreaths were laid by Serb BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, Republika Srpska President Željka Cvijanović, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović, Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Višković and Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija.

BANJALUKA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - Serb BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik said today in Banjaluka that the Republika Srpska Army had been a defensive force which preserved the Serbian people, their identity, ancestral homes and history.

BIJELJINA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - A solemn parade of war flags was held in Bijeljina, from the barracks to the central monument to defenders, and a memorial service was held for fallen soldiers to mark the 28th anniversary of the Republika Srpska Army and the 15th anniversary of the 3rd Infantry Regiment /Republika Srpska/ of the BiH Armed Forces which nurtures traditions of the Serbian Army.

BILEĆA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - A memorial service for soldiers killed in defense of Republika Srpska was held in the Church of Holy Basil of Ostrog in Bileća as part of marking the 28th anniversary of the Republika Srpska Army and the 15th anniversary of the 3rd Regiment /Republika Srpska/ of the BiH Armed Forces.

BIHAĆ, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - The Tourism Organization of the City of Bihać organized the filming of a promotional video with techno music in Garavice near Bihać where 12,000 Serbs were massacred in WWII, which is a new form of belittling victims, says the Serbian Association “Povratnici.”

BANJALUKA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - Serb BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik has told Srna that a video filmed by the Bihać Tourism Organization in Garavice, a place of execution of Serbs, is scandalous and shameful and that it should not be aired.

BOSANSKI PETROVAC, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - The Association “Povratnici” from the Una-Sana Canton demands from the Canton authorities to disclose all documents pertaining to the formation of the migrant camp in the Serbian village of Lipa near Bihać in order to see if there are plans to build a school, mosque or other buildings, as long-term solutions for migrants.

BELGRADE, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - The Association of Journalists of Serbia /UNS/ and its branch in Kosovo condemned a campaign by Albanian media outlets against Aleksandra Dogandžić, a journalist of the 2nd channel of Radio-TV Kosovo /RTK2/ in Serbian, because of her use of the term “Kosovo and Metohija.”

PRIŠTINA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - Stifling media freedoms and ethnically motivated attacks on journalists of the RTK 2 channel in Serbian and the announcement of sacking journalist Aleksandra Dogandžić because of the use of the term “Kosovo and Metohija” is the latest pressure on Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and the freedom of speech which is being seized from them systematically, said the Serbian List.

BELGRADE, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - The Government of France donated EUR 8.3 million for drafting a feasibility study for the first phase of a Belgrade subway project which is estimated to cost between EUR 4.5 billion and EUR 5.5 billion.
