BANJALUKA, JANUARY 4 /SRNA/ - The documentary-feature film "Corridor 92" by Slađana Zarić will premiere on RTRS on January 9 - the Republika Srpska Day, said director of the Republika Srpska Center for Research of War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons Milorad Kojić.

In an interview with the News Agency of Republika Srpska, SRNA, Kojić has said that the film is a joint project by the Republika Srpska and Serbian Governments, as part of culture of remembrance, which was produced and co-produced by RTRS and RTS, with technical and administrative support from the Republic Center in Banjaluka.

FIRST PHASE OF LISTING VICTIMS OF PATRIOTIC-DEFENCE WAR COMPLETED

Regarding the work of the Republic Center and priorities in 2021, Kojić has said that the Republic Center completed a preliminary list of victims of the Patriotic-Defense War.

"We began the job in July 2013 and published a book titled "Victims of the Patriotic-Defense War" in which we registered 35,402 Serbs killed in the period 1992-1995," Kojić said.

A LOT OF WORK MUST BE DONE TO PROMOTE CULTURE OF REMEMBRANCE 25 YEARS AFTER WAR

Kojić has said that the Republic Center did a lot to promote culture of remembrance, as one of the priorities, given that 25 years have passed since the end of the patriotic-defense war.

"A lot of work must be done to present to the public everything we investigated in order to promote culture of remembrance," said the director of the Republic Center.

Kojić has said that the Republic Center is working on a comprehensive and large project called "The Atlas of Crime" in order to list the most important and the greatest sufferings of the Serbian people, which means field work and includes documents and facts at the Center's disposal.

"It is our method to work on crimes against Serbs in a chronological order, from 1992 and on. We have already completed Donji Malovan, Sijekovac, a part of Derventa that pertains to crimes in Čardak, and we registered more than 100 major Serbian killing grounds," Kojić said.

COOPERATION WITH PROSECUTORS LED TO ARRESTS OF BOSNIAKS FOR CRIMES AGAINST SERBS

He has said that daily jobs of the Republic Center include the cooperation with prosecutors and that it resulted in opening war crime cases against Bosniak Generals of the so-called Army of BiH Atif Dudaković and Ramiz Dreković, and cases for Posavina and Konjic.

Kojić has said that the cooperation between the Republic Center continued throughout 2020 and that it resulted in the recent arrest of a Bosniak in Zvornik, adding that these activities will continue this year and will lead to new arrests and indictments for crimes against Serbs.

He has said that the Republic Center is also helping attorneys of Serbs indicted for war crimes.

"In this regard, the opening of a regional office in Vlasenica is of great importance as we and our investigators managed to secure to a large degree both witnesses and documents from our database," Kojić said. /end/sg
