CVIJANOVIĆ: KAVAZOVIĆ WOULD BE BETTER OFF WORRYING ABOUT RADICALIZED MINORS RATHER THAN SERBIAN NATIONAL HOLIDAYS

EAST SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 14 /SRNA/ - The Serbian member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, emphasized that the head of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein Kavazović, should have expressed concern over radicalized minors who are killing police officers in BiH rather than over Serbian national holidays and their celebrations.

"Shame on him," Cvijanović told SRNA when asked to comment on the series of accusations and falsehoods Kavazović directed at Republika Srpska and Serbia regarding the joint celebration of Candlemas. She emphasized that neither Serbia nor Republika Srpska pursue a destructive policy, but rather Sarajevo extremists who believe they can privatize and subordinate the entire country to their interests. "Kavazović should understand that this is neither the 15th nor the 18th, but the 21st century, and that BiH does not belong to a single people or religious community, but to all of its equal and constituent peoples," Cvijanović said. She added that both he and others in Sarajevo should reconsider celebrating morbid holidays and the day when a Serbian wedding guest was killed in Baščaršija — a day that should be one of mourning, as it marked the beginning of war and suffering.
