CVIJANOVIĆ: DAYTON AGREEMENT DOES NOT GRANT ANY FOREIGNER RIGHT TO ENACT LAWS OR AMEND CONSTITUTION

BRUSSELS, APRIL 15 /SRNA/ - The Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said today at the North Atlantic Council meeting in Brussels that the Dayton Agreement does not grant any foreigner the right to enact laws or amend the Constitution.
"No one but domestic institutions has the right to enact laws or suspend the Constitution, as Christian Schmidt did with the Constitution of the Federation of BiH," Cvijanović said. She saID that the meeting went as she expected. "As for the members of the Presidency, we have completely different views of the situation in BiH, that is, the current political crisis, which is one of the biggest and just one in a series caused by high representatives, now including Christian Schmidt, who does not have verification from the UN Security Council," Cvijanović said. She pointed out at the meeting that repeating the phrases and applying outdated concepts that have become unsuccessful will not help BiH. "My duty was to point out that this crisis is exclusively tied to the actions of an unelected foreigner. I emphasized that this foreigner has no basis in international law," Cvijanović said. She emphasized that all measures and actions taken by the Republika Srpska National Assembly are countermeasures and a reaction to the usurping and illegal behavior of Christian Schmidt. "All of his decisions and actions have been illegal and contrary to international law," Cvijanović emphasized. She asked the participants of today's meeting what it means when they say they respect the "High Representative." "Does that mean they support fake democracy and chaos in the country?" Cvijanović told RTRS. According to her, the crisis in BiH is not a security crisis, but a political one. "I also said that BiH is an experiment in the status of a colony," Cvijanović said.
