AMIDŽIĆ: SRPSKA WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT IF SCHMIDT TRIES TO UNDERMINE BiH’S ECONOMIC SYSTEM
EAST SARAJEVO, JULY 14 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić stated that Christian Schmidt has already undermined the legal and constitutional order in BiH and is now aiming to destroy its economic system as well, with every citizen of BiH becoming a target this time, not just the institutions.
“Once again, the media and political circles are speculating that the illegal and illegitimate so-called High Representative Christian Schmidt might impose new decisions in BiH. If what is being announced is true, it would be yet another brutal attempt to humiliate BiH, dismantle its constitutional structure, and endanger its economic system. The decisions being speculated about would directly impact financial stability, the market, budgets, and salaries,” Amidžić told SRNA. Minister Amidžić warned that if anyone accepts Schmidt's interference in the economic sphere, they are removing all barriers for Schmidt to wake up one morning in a bad mood, as we know him to be, and write a decision declaring the foreign currency reserves of the Central Bank of BiH as an advance payment for his annual vacation. “This is precisely why there must be a clear and loud line as to how long this abuse of the state and its peoples will be tolerated. We will not remain silent while someone destroys the foundations of our sovereignty, nor will we sit idly by while someone tries to turn this country into a protectorate without the right of its peoples to have a voice,” Amidžić emphasized. He said that BiH is no one’s colony, nor is its sovereignty a toy. “History has shown that a people who do not submit cannot be defeated. Republika Srpska will not submit,” concluded the Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers.
