SCHMIDT CONTINUES TO POISON RELATIONS IN BiH

BANJA LUKA, JULY 18 /SRNA/ – The President of DEMOS Nedeljko Čubrilović has said that the latest financial and other decisions harmful to Republika Srpska show that the illegal Christian Schmidt continues to poison relations within BiH on various issues, which only leads to an escalation of overall relations, and not to solving problems.

"At yesterday's session of the Srpska Government, we expressed dissatisfaction regarding this and announced concrete actions through legal entities directly harmed by Schmidt's decisions and his interference with their revenues," said Čubrilović, who is also the Minister of Transport and Communications of Srpska. He stated that any interference in the electoral process in BiH without agreement from its democratically elected representatives is unacceptable. "There are constant attempts by the international community in this regard, but we must trust the awareness of citizens that they will not succumb to various types of such pressures. The way in which the international community interferes does not benefit either the government or the opposition representatives, both at the entity level and at the BiH level," Čubrilović said. Recently, Schmidt imposed a decision in the case of the Slovenian company Vijadukt, which foresees taking funds from excise revenues in the single account, from the part belonging to Srpska, as well as a decision requiring the BiH Central Bank to secure funds for new technologies in the election process.
