SRPSKA AUTHORITIES CONTRIBUTE TO STABILITY AND SECURITY
PRIJEDOR, September 12 /SRNA/ - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated today in Prijedor, after inspecting the reconstruction of flood protection facilities, that he is confident Srpska's authorities contribute to stability and security, stressing that this work will significantly help the people, who will notice the difference.
"We did not hesitate to help after the major floods when water entered people's homes. The state is here to ensure such events do not happen again. We do not work for medals, but because it is our duty," Dodik told reporters in Brezičani near Prijedor. He expressed gratitude to everyone who assisted, noting that problems are now being solved. "It was truly tragic to see Prijedor during the floods, the neighborhoods, and the suffering of the people. We could not ignore that," Dodik said. He pointed out that more than 200 million BAM has been invested not only in this area but across Republika Srpska, which demonstrates the level of care for such issues. According to Dodik, the money was invested to resolve problems, with prompt measures introduced. "Whenever I see that something has been completed, I feel proud because Republika Srpska is moving forward, not standing still, despite the lies claiming it is bankrupt," Dodik remarked. He added that he notices a significant number of cars on the streets, many houses being built, and growing trust in Republika Srpska as a state, believing that this also inspires people to defend Srpska. Prijedor was hit by devastating floods in March, with the highest institutions of Srpska providing assistance in recovery efforts. Around 800 properties were submerged in the March floods in the Prijedor region.
