DODIK: SIGNIFICANT ROLE OF PALE FOR THE STRENGTH OF SRPSKA, CAPITAL CITY MEANS PAYING TRIBUTE
PALE, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has said that Pale played a significant role in shaping the identity and strength of Republika Srpska and that the capital city means paying tribute, which is also an obligation of Republika Srpska.
Dodik mentioned that Pale was built alongside Republika Srpska and that as Srpska grew stronger, so did Pale. "I will not miss the opportunity to see this through. We will continue working on defining what the capital city means and carrying on with that," Dodik said at the scientific forum "Pale – the Capital of Srpska." He recalled that the Government and the wartime command were based in Pale. "Those of us who remember and know must restore that in the right way. We don't need to do anything that would create animosity but rather strengthen through various efforts," Dodik emphasized. He stressed that Pale is a city today and must continue developing. "We have built faculty buildings and the University. It is important to define the concept of the capital city and put it into procedure. The capital means paying tribute, which is also an obligation of Republika Srpska," said Dodik. He has said that over BAM 200 million have been invested in Jahorina, and the road to Jahorina has been modernized. Dodik has said that Republika Srpska is a more significant factor in BiH than BiH. "They will never reconcile with Republika Srpska. No policy on their side supports Srpska's strengthening and survival. Only the naive can believe that this is possible," Dodik pointed out, adding that through the Dayton Peace Agreement, Srpska gained a certain degree of recognition.
