HELEZ IS TURNING DEFENSE MINISTRY INTO A BOSNIAK MINISTRY, CREATING LEGAL CHAOS AND MARGINALIZING SERBS AND CROATS

EAST SARAJEVO, JANUARY 15 /SRNA/ - Deputy Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović has said that upon returning to his duties after the New Year and Christmas holidays, he was met with unlawful actions and legal chaos in the Ministry of Defense.

Goganović emphasized that Zukan Helez decided to turn the Ministry of Defense into a Bosniak ministry and marginalize members of the other two constituent peoples within the defense system, contrary to the Defense Law. "In the coming period, I will schedule a meeting with the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, as well as with the Presidency members from the other two constituent peoples, along with the EUFOR commander, the NATO headquarters commander in Sarajevo, and military attachés in BiH. I want to warn the international community that Minister Helez is leading the Armed Forces toward disintegration, constantly invoking war in BiH, disrupting interpersonal relations within the defense system, and harming good regional relations," Goganović said. The Deputy Minister of Defense has said that he cannot understand why Helez prioritizes political positioning over a stable defense system that contributes to the stability and security of BiH. "I have begun consultations with legal experts regarding the filing of a criminal complaint against Helez on multiple grounds," Goganović told SRNA.
