BUDIMIR: SRPSKA PROTECTS ITS RIGHTS WITH LAWS ADOPTED IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 19 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Science and Technology Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir told SRNA that the only way Srpska can act in order to preserve legality, legitimacy and constitutional status is to fight for its rights in joint institutions, and if that possibility does not exist, then the laws passed by the National Assembly of Srpska are respected.
Commenting on the fact that the Director of the Agency for Investigation and Protection /Sipa/BiH Darko Ćulum withdrew from this position in accordance with the laws adopted by the Parliament of Srpska, Budimir said that after the changes to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the persecution of the leaders of Srpska began and that in such conditions it was no longer possible to work in a police agency such as Sipa, which is an indicator of the atmosphere that was created in Sarajevo. He pointed out that the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković, made statements that the President of Srpska was a "terrorist", while it was reliably known that he had connections with one of the largest drug cartels in the world. "This is an indication of how Serbs are viewed in political Sarajevo, and in such circumstances I think it will be very difficult for Serbs to work in joint institutions and that they should take into account the interests of their people, which they represent, and the interests of Republika Srpska," said Budimir. He said that the political crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina was caused by the actions of Christian Schmidt while the instruments of that crisis were the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which it became impossible to protect the interests of Republika Srpska. "The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has embarked on a persecution. I have already said several times that the application of the law, i.e. the criminal offense that was incriminated by unconstitutional means, as Christian Schmidt did, is the beginning of pressure on Serbs that can lead to ethnic cleansing of Serbs in these areas," Budimir warned. On February 27, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted several laws, among which are the Law on Non-Enforcement of Laws and Prohibition of Activities of Unconstitutional Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Republika Srpska, the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska and the Law on the Special Register and Publicity of the Work of Non-Profit Organizations.
