STEVANDIĆ: CRISIS IN BiH WOULD BE RESOLVED BY WITHDRAWAL OF THE LAW IMPOSED BY SCHMIDT

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 21 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said that the crisis in BiH would be solved by withdrawing the law imposed by Christian Schmidt.

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 21 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said that the crisis in BiH would be solved by withdrawing the law imposed by Christian Schmidt.

"That would bring us back to peace and ensure less tension on the inter-entity line, as well as in cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina," Stevandić told reporters in Banja Luka. If that happens, Stevandić says, he is ready to give up the three laws adopted by the National Assembly, which were questioned by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. "I would be ready to ask /Republika Srpska President Milorad/ Dodik and /Prime Minister Radovan/ Višković to think and make a compromise when it comes to the constitution of those three laws," Stevandić said. He pointed out that with the aim of achieving and preserving peace, he is ready to accept criticism from all sides because of this. "I feel responsible for peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We need to send a message to the people in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina that they have exaggerated, but also that they have been abused," said Stevandić. He stated that it was not clear to him that anyone could think that Republika Srpska could surrender. "I understand that colleagues from the opposition created an image in Sarajevo that they are some kind of alternative, but they are not," Stevandić said.
