CITIZENS OF SRPSKA HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN A REFERENDUM ON THE ATTACK AGAINST SRPSKA
SARAJEVO, AUGUST 14 /SRNA/ - Milorad Kojić, SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, told SRNA that the citizens of Republika Srpska have the right to express their views in a referendum on the attack against the institutions of Srpska, stressing that this is a method in line with international principles and applied worldwide.
"It is extremely important, from the perspective of preserving the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska, its institutions, and the citizens’ right to elect and be elected, that citizens have the right to express their stance on what is happening through these staged judicial processes, which directly target the institutions of Republika Srpska," said Kojić. According to him, in this sense, the referendum is an important tool that can be used in accordance with the laws of Republika Srpska for the people to voice their will regarding the attempt by foreigners, together with the judiciary, to influence the constitutional and legal structure of BiH. "The people must have the right to express their opinion on the dismantling of the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska and the evident desire to reshape the BiH Constitution," Kojić emphasized, adding that the referendum is in line with international principles and is applied in all countries of the world. Kojić recalled that the will of the people is also expressed through elections, when they choose representatives to speak on their behalf at the local and republican levels. "This also gives the people the right to state their position in a referendum on the attacks against the institutions of Republika Srpska," Kojić stressed.
